Job summary

Gusto is searching for a Lead, Process Transformation to steer the evolution of our People Operations ecosystem. You will identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate HR processes while ensuring operational excellence across HRIS Operations and People Services.

You will partner across HR, Legal, Finance and business leaders to redesign work—from hire to retire—creating scalable experiences for employees, managers, and People teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in People Operations, HR Operations, or related fields.
• 5+ years leading managers and operational teams.
• Proven success in enterprise-scale process transformation.
• Experience with HR shared services, HRIS operations, or similar service orgs.
• Strong understanding of HR technology ecosystems (Workday or comparable).
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-year strategy for transforming People Operations processes.
• Analyze end-to-end lifecycle workflows to identify friction and inefficiencies.
• Redesign processes using Lean, service design, and automation.
• Partner with Tech teams to leverage AI and automation for efficiency.
• Own governance for HRIS Operations and People Services.
• Develop dashboards and metrics for operational visibility.
