Job summary

Nobis Group, an integrated engineering and environmental solutions firm, is seeking a Director of People & Culture to join our leadership team in Concord, NH. You will shape the people strategy and blend high-level strategic leadership with hands-on execution to build an engaged, high-performing workforce that reflects our values.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 10+ years in a leadership position in Human Resources with progressive supervisory roles in core HR disciplines such as recruitment, compensation, benefits, training and development, employee relations, workers compensation, etc.
  • Demonstrated success in leading talent development initiatives, including succession planning, leadership coaching, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level as well as diving into day-to-day HR operations.
  • Experience in employment law and other government compliance regulations and ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex difficult, and emotional issues.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to build trust and credibility quickly.
  • Skilled in driving continuous improvement and change management initiative across HR and other departments.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, have own transportation, and proof of auto insurance and be able to travel between office locations and attend meetings and events as needed.
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (PHR) required.
  • Senior professional certification in Human Resources (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) is highly preferred.

  • Compliance & HR Infrastructure: Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies; oversee benefits administration, workers' compensation, and health and safety programs.

Some of What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, aligning HR initiatives within business goals.
  • Lead organizational change efforts that support growth, agility, and performance.

What You’ll Need to Bring With You

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
