Job summary

WesleyLife is seeking a People and Culture Director to lead HR operations in Atlantic, IA. This role manages full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and orientation aligned with organizational strategy, while guiding leaders on performance and employee relations.

The position also oversees safety, workers' compensation, reporting, and compliance, partnering with leadership to drive strategic people initiatives and a strong, compliant workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years’ HR experience required.
• Strong generalist background across employee relations, benefits, compliance, employment law, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Talent Acquisition and onboarding programs, including orientation and benefits enrollment.
• Advise leaders on performance management and employee relations.
• Oversee workers' compensation, safety, and incident reporting processes.
• Track people metrics and report findings to leadership with action plans.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and maintain records.
