Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America is seeking a PCIC Specialist for our Evansville, WI facility. You will coordinate purchasing, production control, and inventory to ensure materials and finished goods are available when needed and orders ship on time and complete.

In this role, you will work with suppliers, production, and warehouse teams to resolve issues, maintain ERP data, and support continuous improvement in materials flow and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Purchasing/procurement experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze inventory and purchasing information and identify discrepancies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with computers and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Procure raw materials and finished goods to support manufacturing and customer demand.
• Monitor material requirements to keep production on schedule and shipments on time.
• Maintain purchase orders, delivery dates, and ERP data accurately.
• Follow up with suppliers on late, incomplete, or at‑risk deliveries.
• Identify potential shortages and communicate issues to production and planning.
• Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and align with production needs and turns.
• Support supplier pricing review and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve material issues.
• Maintain records and support continuous improvement in purchasing/inventory.
