Job summary

BlueScope Buildings North America is seeking a detail-oriented PCIC Specialist to support manufacturing operations in Evansville, WI. The role coordinates purchasing, production control, and inventory control to ensure on-time, complete customer orders.

You will work with suppliers, production, warehouse, and internal teams to maintain inventory accuracy, resolve issues, and optimize inventory turns while supporting continuous improvement in purchasing and production processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Purchasing/procurement experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to analyze inventory and purchasing information and identify discrepancies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and business/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Procure raw materials and finished goods to support manufacturing and customer demand.
• Monitor material requirements and ensure materials are available for production schedules and customer shipments.
• Maintain accurate purchase orders, delivery dates, and related information in the ERP system.
• Follow up with suppliers on late or at-risk deliveries.
• Identify potential shortages and communicate issues affecting production or deliveries.
• Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure inventory levels align with business and production needs.
• Support inventory optimization and minimize shortages and excess inventory.
• Review supplier pricing and performance and communicate issues to purchasing.
• Assist with invoice and PO discrepancies and coordinate with internal/external partners.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records; ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with production, warehouse, shipping, purchasing, and management to resolve issues.
• Provide timely communication on changes in material availability and supplier performance.
• Support continuous improvement in purchasing, inventory accuracy, material flow, and production support.
