Job summary

Quinnipiac University is seeking a Payroll Operations Manager to oversee multi-frequency in-house payrolls and ensure accurate, timely compensation for faculty and staff.

Reporting to the Director of Payroll, you will manage ADP-based timekeeping, maintain payroll records, prepare tax filings, and support policy development to strengthen compliance and efficiency. A Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years of payroll experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5–7 years of payroll experience
• Experience with time and attendance systems
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
• Strong knowledge of payroll and related software

Responsibilities

• Process and oversee multi-frequency in-house payrolls with data integrity and confidentiality
• Manage ADP time and attendance system maintenance and enhancements
• Update payroll records including salary, taxes, direct deposits
• Prepare, reconcile and file payroll taxes and third-party deductions
• Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports
• Create ad hoc payroll reports as requested
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university policies and collective bargaining agreements
• Mentor payroll staff and support policy development and internal controls
• Serve as SME for payroll systems and provide guidance and troubleshooting
