Canopy Children’s Solutions in Mississippi is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee all bi-weekly payroll processes, benefit administration, and HRIS system management. This role ensures tax compliance, accurate GL postings, and timely grant support documentation, while guiding payroll and benefits staff.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, 5 years of payroll/benefits experience, leadership skills, and familiarity with UKG systems.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of payroll accounting concepts, GL reconciliations, payroll tax accounting and internal controls.
• Five (5) years of progressive payroll and benefits administration experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with UKG Workforce Management and UKG Pro or comparable HRIS/payroll systems.
• Experience administering retirement plans, benefit programs, payroll taxation, and leave programs.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, payroll taxation, and benefit administration.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee all bi-weekly payroll processing activities.
• Ensure accurate processing of employee wages, deductions, adjustments, garnishments, and supplemental payments.
• Review new hire profiles ensuring accurate business structure and wages.
• Review data for inconsistencies and non-conforming data.
• Review and monitor employee accrual policies and ensure policy compliance.
• Coordinate payroll-related month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll related balance sheet and expense accounts.
• Monitor payroll tax withholdings, remittances, filings, and year-end reporting.
• Oversee employee benefit enrollment, eligibility, and open enrollment activities.
• Oversee retirement plan administration and benefit invoicing.
• Serve as functional administrator for payroll, timekeeping, and benefits systems.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and assist audits.
