Job summary

Paramount Legal is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager to oversee the full payroll process and a comprehensive employee benefits program within a respected law firm. You will manage biweekly payroll, taxes, reports, year-end tasks, and retirement plan contributions while also leading benefits open enrollment and orientation.

The role requires 5+ years in payroll and benefits administration, preferably in professional services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, Paylocity, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills, Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, benefits administration, and leave management.
• CPP, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle biweekly payroll process for a large employee population.
• Administer payroll taxes, reporting, audits, year-end processing, and retirement plan contributions.
• Oversee employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
• Lead annual open enrollment and new hire benefits orientation.
• Serve as primary resource for payroll, benefits, leave administration, and related policies.
• Maintain HRIS/payroll systems and ensure data integrity.
• Partner with leadership and outside vendors to ensure compliance with regulations.
