TransChicago Truck Group in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Corporate Parts Buyer to source and secure parts for internal inventory. You will expedite stock orders, update data in the DMS, and communicate order status across teams.

This onsite role requires attention to detail and strong communication as you coordinate vendors, branches, and warehouse operations. The position offers 55,000–65,000 USD annually with a comprehensive benefits package and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2+ years of purchasing experience.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Monitor purchasing communications and respond based on urgency and need.
• Review sales metrics and stock levels to determine stock part orders.
• Ensure pricing, pack quantities, ship-to addresses, and vendor details are accurate.
• Coordinate with vendors, branches, warehouse, and internal teams on orders.
• Initiate stock transfers between warehouse and branches as needed.
• Process daily stock and customer orders and resolve delivery issues.
• Verify and approve orders in RimPro, including transfers and PDC orders.
• Resolve vendor order issues and reconcile invoices with accounting.
• Identify recurring issues and suggest process improvements.
