Job summary

Harris County Department of Economic Equity & Opportunity (DEEO) seeks a Manager of Business Development & Outreach to drive programs, partnerships, and outreach with businesses and community partners. You will coordinate across divisions to strengthen small, minority- and women-owned business capacity and help contractors compete for county contracts.

The role requires collaboration with County departments and external partners, with hybrid work options and a focus on inclusive economic growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required.
• 3+ years in supplier diversity, procurement, or related role with outreach focus.
• Or 7+ years in supplier diversity/procurement with HS diploma.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, manage, and track DEEO capacity-building programs.
• Plan and manage DEEO outreach events and external meetings.
• Provide customized business development assistance and contract navigation guidance.
• Produce and track outreach materials, talking points, and content for social media.
• Manage Mentor-Protégé programs and track outcomes.
• Maintain knowledge of DEEO programs and resources for stakeholders.
