Job summary

The University of Alaska is seeking a Director of Strategy & Engagement to lead ACMA's Strategy, Engagement & Ecosystem Development and sit on the executive team at UAF. Your role spans planning, partnerships, ecosystem engagement, and external alignment to drive Alaska's regional innovation efforts.

You will work across research, translation, and workforce development to align priorities, investments, and policy with long-range growth, engaging with government, industry, and university partners

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a related field and 8+ years of leadership experience in strategy, partnerships, or innovation ecosystems.
• Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of progressive senior leadership in strategic planning and partnerships.
• Equivalent combinations of education and leadership experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, coordination, implementation, and assessment of organizational strategy and partnerships.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with Alaska Native corporations, tribal orgs, universities, industry, and government.
• Advise leadership on policy developments, funding strategies, and long-term growth.
• Collaborate across functions to align initiatives with statewide regional innovation goals.
