Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our Fort Meade, MD team. The role leverages analytical and mathematical expertise to optimize processes, forecast outcomes, and implement data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity.

The successful candidate will hold an active TS/SCI clearance with 12+ years of experience in OR or related fields, and will apply MATLAB/SAS/R to model, simulate, and optimize operations across programs and agencies.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• 12+ years’ experience in Operations Research or related fields.
• Experience with MATLAB, SAS, or R and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply probability models, statistics, simulations, optimization, data analysis, data visualization, and implement mathematical models to solve operational problems.
• Introduce quantitative and qualitative analysis, data analytics, and data science to military decision-making processes.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights and present findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret data.
• Create simulations and predictive models to forecast outcomes.
• Optimize resource allocation and logistical processes.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate project feasibility.
• Prepare and present reports communicating analytical results and recommendations.
• Monitor effectiveness of solutions and propose improvements.
• Stay updated with industry trends and analytical techniques.
