Job summary

Ohio State University seeks a Project Management Consultant to lead operational readiness and activation for complex facility, expansion, and transition initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Operational Excellence and collaborates with Facilities, IT, and clinical operations to align operational needs with project plans.

The position emphasizes independent execution, stakeholder engagement, and strategic influence, with travel across the James and OSU Medical Complex.

Qualifications

Master's degree in business or related field with at least 4 years of project management experience, or a Bachelor's with at least 8 years PM experience.
PMP certification strongly preferred and highly valued for this role.
Excellent written and verbal communication and facilitation skills.
Ability to manage large, cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment across teams.

Responsibilities

Lead operational planning, readiness, transition, and activation activities for complex initiatives.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage dependencies across facilities, IT, clinical operations, and support services.
Develop comprehensive readiness and activation plans and monitor milestones to ensure successful implementation.
Identify operational risks and mitigations and maintain accountability across project milestones.
