Job summary

Mercury Systems in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Principal Operations Program Manager to lead multiple programs across U.S. sites. You will apply operations, MRP, and business acumen to develop and execute program strategies, owning performance for materials, operations, and risk management.

This on-site role requires coordinating with a matrixed organization, delivering readiness for NPI gates, and communicating flow-through requirements with customers and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 6+ years in supply chain, operations, program management, or technical project management.
• Experience with inputs to EACs and building business cases.
• Understanding SOWs and project requirements (technical and commercial).
• Experience with MRP systems (e.g., Oracle) for inventory and planning.
• Proven leadership of teams with direct and indirect reports.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance (US citizen).

Responsibilities

• Act as Operations focal for the Program IPT; own operational aspects (operations, materials, issue resolution).
• Develop and execute capacity planning strategy for the program.
• Provide inputs to customer proposals (BOM costing, operations hours/costing, tooling/jigs, and BOE generation).
• Support Estimates at Complete (EAC) and monthly earned value reporting.
• Present Operations metrics through Program Reviews to Mercury and customer leadership.
• Manage supplier risk and opportunity, including obsolescence and improvement actions.
• Maintain program schedule integrity and readiness across NPI stage-gate processes.
