Xcel Energy is seeking an Operations Planner Team Lead in Colorado to provide subject‑matter leadership for planning, scheduling, and coordinating multi-region work. You will oversee multi-week scheduling, mentor planners, and drive process improvements while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires strong analytics, leadership, and communication with field operations, design, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8 years of experience in construction, design, maintenance, or operations (utility experience preferred).
• 3 years in a senior planning role (e.g. Sr Operations Work Coordinator).
• Proven ability to lead teams and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of a rolling 0–12+ week schedule for regions or commodity areas.
• Coordinate prerequisites and third-party services to enable work execution.
• Mentor Operations Planners/Sr. Operations Planners and lead process improvements.
• Monitor personnel, equipment, and material needs across areas and optimize resources.
• Lead monthly metric reviews and drive standardized work practices.
