Xcel Energy is seeking an Operations Planner Team Lead to provide subject matter expertise in planning, scheduling, and coordinating multi‑regional work. You will oversee a rolling 0–12+ week schedule, ensure readiness, optimize resources, and enforce safety and regulatory standards across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8 years in construction/design/operations with 3 years in a senior planning role.
• Mastery in scheduling, planning and operational coordination in utilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of a rolling 0–12+ week schedule for regions, ensuring alignment with priorities and resources.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and third-party services to enable timely work execution.
• Mentor and train planners, setting performance standards and driving continuous improvement.
• Monitor personnel, equipment, and material needs to optimize resources and control costs.
• Lead monthly metric reviews and drive process change to improve efficiency.
• Engage stakeholders and communicate scheduling and outages to customers and teams.
• Ensure accurate documentation and financial stewardship for O&M and capital work.
