Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a senior operations and business planning professional in Irving, TX to lead executive support functions, planning cadence, and cross-functional coordination.
You will translate strategic priorities into coordinated actions, enable leadership visibility, and drive data-driven decision making across Finance, HR, Product Management, Engineering, PMO and business stakeholders. The role emphasizes organizational effectiveness, leadership readiness, and execution at scale
Qualifications
- Experience supporting executive leadership teams and business operations.
- Proven ability to lead planning processes and cross-functional execution.
- Ability to develop executive scorecards and dashboards.
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven mindset.
- Experience with Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Confluence.
Responsibilities
- Support leadership team operating rhythms, including staff meetings and reviews.
- Drive execution of organizational priorities through planning and coordination.
- Track commitments, actions, and decisions for follow-through.
- Monitor performance, risks, dependencies, and opportunities.
- Improve operating processes and governance mechanisms.
- Support annual planning, budgeting, and portfolio planning.
- Develop executive dashboards and reporting frameworks.
- Consolidate data to support leadership decision-making.
- Coordinate planning across Finance, HR, Product, Eng, PMO, and stakeholders.
- Provide visibility into portfolio health and execution status.
- Lead strategic initiatives from concept to implementation.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and resolve complex issues.
