Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the location’s facilities, delivery, and warehousing functions in Colorado. You will develop and execute strategies to optimize the flow of materials, manage costs, and mentor staff across multiple departments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in the lumber/building materials industry, with strong procurement, inventory, and leadership capabilities to meet customer needs and keep operations efficient.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in lumber or building materials industry with multiple assignments in all phases of the business.
• Strong customer service, organizational skills, and leadership abilities.
• Experience with procurement, inventory management, and supervising staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall operations and physical conditions of facilities and equipment.
• Budget and control operating costs to meet profit targets.
• Plan operations strategies and priorities for smooth product flow to customers.
• Monitor performance via reports on on-time deliveries, back orders, hours worked, shipments, etc.
• Resolve process, cost, orders, maintenance, inventory, and equipment issues affecting service levels.
• Coordinate staffing across Warehouse, Shipping, Yard, Office and Purchasing.
