Job summary

Californians Together is seeking an Operations Director to provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of core operational functions. You will oversee finance, HR, administration, compliance, and systems, ensuring scalable and compliant practices.

Supervising 3–5 staff and coordinating with external vendors, you will drive organizational health and growth. As a senior leader, you will partner with the Executive Director to translate strategy into operational plans, strengthen internal processes,

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years in senior operations, finance, or HR leadership.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Experience managing outsourced providers (accounting, payroll, HR providers).
• Strong financial acumen and internal controls.
• Excellent communication and leadership for mission-driven org.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across finance, HR, administration, and systems.
• Oversee budgeting, cash flow, filings, and audit prep.
• Manage relationships with PEOs, accountants, and vendors.
• Develop policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Support Board materials and governance reporting.
