Job summary

Californians Together seeks an Operations Director to lead core operational functions and serve as a key partner to the Executive Director. The role oversees finance, HR, administration, compliance, and systems to strengthen infrastructure and long-term sustainability.

As a senior leader, you will align priorities with capacity, supervise 3-5 staff, manage external partners, and drive continuous improvement across all operational areas.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in operations/finance/administration with senior responsibility.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Experience overseeing outsourced service providers (accounting, payroll, HR, auditors).
• Demonstrated commitment to equity and mission-driven leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of all core operational functions.
• Oversee finance, HR, administration, compliance, and organizational systems.
• Manage external partners and vendors, including payroll and accounting firms.
• Ensure policies and procedures are compliant, scalable, and effective.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting.
