Job summary

The West Virginia Land Trust (WVLT) is seeking a full-time Director of Operations to oversee Finance, HR, IT and administration from Morgantown or Charleston. The DOO reports to the Executive Director and is part of the senior management team focused on conserving West Virginia's lands and supporting a growing conservation movement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field; 5+ years operations management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative, financial, HR, IT and overall operations to support WVLT's mission.
• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with WVLT's goals and strategic plan.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting and contracts; ensure compliance and risk management.
• Coordinate IT systems and security; include AI-assisted meeting note solutions.
• Support fundraising and communications systems; manage Board relations.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment; support staff development.
