Job summary

Simmons Bank in Memphis seeks an experienced leader to develop and execute the Operational Risk Framework, enabling effective identification of risks, robust controls, and minimized losses. You will collaborate with business units to support risk-aware decision making and strengthen organizational resiliency.

You will mentor a risk management team, present insights to the executive team and board, and drive continuous improvement of risk practices across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced degree and 8+ years in banking/financial services.
• 5+ years leading risk management with cross-functional teams.
• Subject matter expert and thought leader in risk management.

Responsibilities

• Directs development and continuous improvement of risk policies and frameworks.
• Oversees risk identification, assessment and prioritization across the organization (RCSA, Scenario Analysis).
• Develops, executes and oversees risk mitigation tracking with validated controls.
• Monitors, analyzes and reports risk exposures to management and the board.
• Designs risk management communications and training; drives culture change.
• Leads selection, implementation and optimization of GRC systems and integration.
• Fosters proactive problem-solving and enterprise-wide risk solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
