University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a Clinical Research Manager to lead the oncology clinical research team within the Heme Malignancy program. You will drive strategic planning, oversight of ~14 staff, and ensure milestones, recruitment and data timelines are met with sponsor requirements.

The ideal candidate brings leadership experience in oncology trials, strong project management, training ability, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in related area.
• Within one year in position, Clinical Trial Professional certification.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Lead/Supervisory/Manager roles.
• Broad knowledge of clinical or laboratory research and trial philosophy.
• Strong project management skills for fast-paced environments.
• Experience leading diverse teams and training staff.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication; negotiator and advisor.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape the clinical research team within the oncology program.
• Provide operational leadership to ~14 staff including supervisors and coordinators.
• Plan strategically to meet program goals and milestones.
