Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield in the DC Metro area seeks a Senior Occupancy Planner to deliver strategic and tactical space planning across a client portfolio, optimizing utilization and aligning layouts with business needs.

Responsibilities include managing site moves, maintaining CAD floor plans and CAFM data, leading planning initiatives, collaborating with facilities and project teams, and mentoring junior planners to improve service delivery and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, Real Estate, Construction Management, or related field (or 10+ years of relevant experience).
• 5–7 years of experience in occupancy planning, space management or corporate real estate.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain site-level occupancy plans, including headcount forecasts and seat supply projections.
• Lead strategic occupancy planning efforts, migration plans, restacks, consolidations, and relocations.
• Analyze space utilization data and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
• Create conceptual and detailed layouts, stack plans, and floor plans using AutoCAD and other design tools.
• Coordinate and manage weekly moves and monthly relocations with Facilities, PM, and external vendors.
• Maintain and update CAFM/IWMS systems and CAD floor plans.
• Provide space utilization analysis and reporting including trends in hiring, terminations, vacancy, and forecast accuracy.
• Present findings and recommendations to clients and internal teams through reports and presentations.
