The Chief Nursing Officer will oversee staff competency, resource management, and regulatory compliance, while representing nursing on the hospital's governance and medical staff leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (B.S.N.) required; Master's degree preferred.
• Current Florida Nursing License and BLS certification.
• At least five years of progressive management experience in a facility setting.
• Proven leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor staff and lead regulatory compliance efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all nursing and designated patient care functions.
• Oversee assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing practice hospital-wide.
• Maintain 24/7 accountability for high-quality, safe patient care and staffing.
• Represent nursing concerns to the governing board and medical staff leadership.
• Lead staff recruitment, development and labor relations to ensure optimal outcomes.
