Job summary

Huntsville Memorial Hospital seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to lead day-to-day clinical and nursing operations under the CEO. You will supervise nursing staff, ensure competent staffing, and promote quality care according to standards of practice.

In partnership with professional staff, you will plan, coordinate, manage, and evaluate nursing programs, policies, and services to deliver patient-centered care and foster a team approach hospital-wide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from an accredited university program; Masters preferred or in progress.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
• Minimum of three years direct patient care experience in an acute care setting; critical care preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years management experience supervising patient care services.

Responsibilities

• Defines and implements operational standards, policies and procedures for nursing care.
• Promotes safety and quality of care by applying standards and literature.
• Oversees budgets for nursing and supports revenue cycle needs.
• Determines staffing requirements and ensures qualified staff availability.
• Collaborates with Medical Staff to address clinical issues and improve care.
• Establishes vision and strategy; leads change and growth.
• Fosters accountability, teamwork and high performance culture.
