Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer to lead nursing and patient care across our hospital network. The CNO will set strategic direction, ensure clinical excellence, and drive quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

This role requires a registered nurse with a postgraduate degree, 5+ years of senior management in a hospital setting, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to recruit and develop staff while managing budgets.

Qualifications

• Active and current RN license in the state of practice.
• Academic degree in nursing; postgraduate degree or plan to obtain one.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive nursing management in a facility.
• Minimum of two (2) years leadership/administrative experience.
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven leadership and facility operational expertise.
• Proven ability to recruit and develop staff.
• Proven track record in regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for nursing and patient care.
• Lead to deliver nursing care, treatment and services.
• Oversee planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing practice.
• Ensure 24/7 responsibility and high quality patient care.
• Represent nursing on governing board and medical staff leadership meetings.
• Participate in professional staff committees.
• Ensure compliance with laws and accreditation standards.
• Manage costs to maximize funds.
