Job summary

Texas Health Plano seeks a Chief Nursing Officer to collaborate with the hospital President and CMO to shape nursing practice, education, and services across the organization. The CNO will set direction for care delivery, safety, and quality while aligning with regulatory standards and organizational goals.

The leader will oversee nursing administration, research, education, and professional development, ensuring strategic staffing, fiscal stewardship, and patient-centered care across all units.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required. Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) required or Master’s Degree related field.
  • 3–5 years senior level experience overseeing hospital-wide nursing services with Magnet/Pathways to Excellence experience, or 5+ years at director level with budget and productivity responsibilities.
  • RN - Texas license required; Nursing Administration certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, approves and oversees policies, procedures and standards of care for patient care delivery.
  • Leads compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards; disseminates data to leadership and staff.
  • Provides leadership in professional practice, builds teams, and represents nursing at medical-executive, board and executive levels.
