Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas seeks a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), a registered nurse with responsibility for assessment, planning, and coordination of all processes affecting care quality and outcomes at the facility. The CNO will lead nursing strategy and drive evidence-based practice to improve population health.

You will collaborate with physicians, leaders and staff to ensure safety, quality, and patient-centered care, while mentoring teams and guiding governance initiatives.

Qualifications

• BSN required and active RN licensure in good standing.
• Master’s degree in nursing or health administration preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of healthcare leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for nursing practice and operations.
• Ensure patient safety, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
