Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to lead strategic sourcing for potential new nuclear generation. You will manage the full lifecycle from opportunity assessment to contract development, coordinating with Legal, Finance, and Engineering to ensure value, risk control, and alignment with project objectives.

The role requires strong negotiation skills, a track record in high-value sourcing, and the ability to influence stakeholders across a complex enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5 years related work experience required.
• Alternative: Associate’s degree with 7 years, or HS/GED with 9 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for complex, high-value nuclear materials, equipment, and services.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, competitive bid events, and supplier evaluations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize value.
• Assess and manage supplier and project risks acrossLegal, Tax, and Quality functions.
• Collaborate with Nuclear Business Unit, PMC, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Operations.
• Provide coaching and share best practices to sourcing teams.
