Job summary

Duke Energy in the United States seeks a Senior Sourcing Specialist to lead strategic sourcing for potential new nuclear generation, managing end-to-end activities across materials, equipment, engineering, construction, fabrication, testing, logistics and services.

The role requires strong negotiation, market analysis and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Finance, Nuclear Operations and Project Management; hybrid work and travel are possible, with relocation assistance available.

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years related procurement experience.
Experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives for complex, high-value categories.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder-management capabilities.
Knowledge of nuclear procurement or highly regulated industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and present sourcing strategies for complex, high-value categories.
Lead end-to-end sourcing activities: RFIs, RFPs, evaluations, awards, contracts.
Negotiate pricing, terms, milestones and risk allocations with suppliers.
Identify and manage supplier risks; collaborate with legal, finance, and quality teams.
Coach and mentor junior sourcing personnel and share best practices.
