Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Waukesha County is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to join our leadership team and strengthen financial stewardship across our multi-location organization.

The role leads budgeting, forecasting, external audits, internal controls, cash flow management, and financial reporting for executives, the Finance Committee, and the Board, while developing staff and guiding strategic decision-making in service of our mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, financial management, and financial reporting.
• At least two years of supervisory or management experience leading staff.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process, financial forecasting, and long-range projections.
• Establish and monitor financial and operational performance measures for multiple locations.
• Prepare financial statements, updates, forecasts, variance analyses, and reports.
• Translate results into clear insights, risks, and actionable recommendations.
• Mentor and develop the finance team while collaborating with leadership.
