Job summary

Society of St. Vincent de Paul South Pinellas, Inc. seeks a Controller in St. Petersburg, FL to oversee financial integrity across the District Office and operations. You will manage accounting, reporting, and internal controls, ensuring accurate data and compliance with nonprofit standards.

The role requires a public accounting background, 5+ years of financial management, and experience with grants and budgeting. Proficiency in Excel/Word and Sage Intacct is essential; CPA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with public accounting background; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of financial management experience.
• Non-profit budgeting and grant experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and accounting software such as SAGE Intacct.

Responsibilities

• Establish practices and procedures for accurate financial data and reporting.
• Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts by the 15th of the following month or quarter.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions and payroll processes.
• Assist with grant budgets and annual financial statements.
• Support executive and finance leadership with monthly reports and audits.
