Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Network Administrator under the IT Director to design, implement, and maintain enterprise and OT network infrastructure. The role emphasizes security, observability, and modern architectures across on-premises and virtualization environments.

The position requires expertise in IP networking, VPNs, Windows/Linux servers, OT/SCADA, and scripting, with responsibilities from dashboards to incident response and compliance support.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
• Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, or similar required.
• Minimum 3 years of network/system administration experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain LAN/WAN environments, including VLANs, routing, and segmentation.
• Configure and support VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN, secure remote access).
• Implement high availability and redundancy strategies.
• Support enterprise virtualization platforms and server infrastructure.
• Maintain Linux and Windows Server systems.
• Support containerized services and modern application hosting models.
• Implement and maintain infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems.
• Develop dashboards and performance metrics for network and system health.
• Troubleshoot issues using logs, metrics, and packet analysis.
• Configure and maintain network security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation).
• Assist with compliance requirements (CJIS, NIST, or similar frameworks).
• OT/SCADA support and secure IT-OT separation.
• Backup and recovery administration and testing.
• Automation and scripting to improve operational tasks.
