Job summary

Jered, a PAR Systems Company, Brunswick, GA, is seeking a Buyer II to source materials and services for U.S. Navy and maritime projects, negotiate pricing, manage supplier relationships, and ensure on-time delivery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years' purchasing experience, an Associate degree, and strong Excel and ERP skills; government/defense procurement experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of purchasing or procurement experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
• Experience sourcing materials and identifying alternative suppliers.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, simple blueprints, and bills of material.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials and services to support production of engineered systems.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms; manage supplier relationships.
• Analyze costs, ensure on-time delivery, and support subcontract procurement.
• Interpret engineering documentation and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
