Job summary

WSB in Texas is seeking a Municipal Director to provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership for our Municipal Engineering practice. You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, drive delivery excellence, and align resources with project and client priorities.

You will manage budgets, mentor staff, and cultivate strong client relationships while guiding complex CIP programs and municipal projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; PE license or ability to obtain within six months.
• 8+ years municipal engineering experience or direct municipal experience.
• Experience with City of Houston preferred; proven client relationship skills.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects, clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mid-level and first-level leaders and individual contributors.
• Oversee regional operations, client relations, and project delivery.
• Translate growth strategy into team goals and annual plans.
• Secure resources and budget; monitor financial performance.
• Coach, mentor and conduct performance reviews; drive staffing plans.
