Job summary

IHDA seeks a Multifamily Financing Originations Analyst to support the origination and structuring of multifamily financing, including first mortgages and bonds. You will build financial models, track pipelines, and prepare timely reports for Finance Committee and Board decisions.

Based in Illinois, the role engages across teams to improve processes and facilitate deal execution, with a focus on LIHTC, Risk-Sharing, and agency/private debt options. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, real estate, economics, business, or related field and 3+ years in affordable housing finance or related analytical role.
• Strong real estate financial modeling skills including proforma and discounted cash flow analysis.
• Familiarity with LIHTC, HUD Risk-Sharing, tax-exempt bonds and subordinate-debt engines; TCS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support growth of first mortgage lending and bond issuance programs.
• Maintain and track the Business Development and Originations pipeline from concept to closing.
• Build and run deal sizing and proforma models, including DSCR and LTV analyses.
