Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Development Associate - Multifamily in the Operations Department to support the direct development of assigned projects and assist the Managing Director.

The role involves underwriting opportunities, preparing financial projections, and coordinating with construction teams and consultants to meet budget and timelines. Applicants should have a Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting/Economics, 3–5 years of relevant experience, and strong Excel modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Three to five years of related experience.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Source and underwrite development opportunities.
• Prepare pro-formas and financial projections for developments.
• Conduct field investigations including rent studies and market analysis.
• Manage zoning, entitlement, and permitting activities.
• Perform underwriting analyzing market data and costs.
• Coordinate with construction personnel to meet budget and timing.
• Work with third party consultants on plans, entitlements and financing.
• Support disposition processes including sale preparation and negotiations.
