Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Category Manager for MRO Parts and Facilities Services to oversee an annual spend of $150–$200 million across North America. You will lead supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and reliability.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze market trends, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to align procurement activities with corporate goals and sustainability commitments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in procurement or supply chain management roles.
• Strong negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage strategic procurement and sourcing for MRO and facilities services, including analysis, sourcing, negotiations, supplier awards, and implementation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define requirements and understand operational needs.
• Analyze data from multiple systems to generate insights and drive decisions.
• Develop and execute category strategies leveraging market trends and spend data.
• Lead supplier sourcing, negotiation, selection, and implementation processes and monitor performance.
