Job summary

Renasant Bank is seeking a Mortgage Banker to establish and maintain relationships with Branch Managers, Realtors, and Builders within a designated area to generate 1-4 family residential loan production. This role also facilitates the mortgage loan process and coordinates with mortgage operations staff to ensure smooth processing.

You will focus on conforming, conventional, FHA, and VA products, while educating branch personnel on program requirements and staying compliant with regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to originate 1-4 family residential mortgage products.
• Thorough knowledge of FHLMC/FNMA, FHA, VA, and other conventional mortgage procedures.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with the public.
• Ability to organize time effectively.
• Ability to learn regulatory directives and procedures.
• Represent Renasant Bank in a professional manner.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Originate all types of 1-4 family residential loans.
• Coordinate loan production throughout assigned service area.
• Maintain prescribed system status report of all loan cases in process.
• Report monthly on the calls made to banks, realtors, and builders.
• Communicate with the Mortgage Banking department on program changes or updates.
• Counsel borrowers on applicable loan products.
• Schedule appointments to take applications at a location convenient to the customer.
• Gather documents required for closing and track status of loans in process.
• Assist customer with closing contingencies.
• Prepare Good Faith Estimate and Truth-In-Lending within 72 hours of application.
• Provide Realtors with weekly progress reviews.
• Educate branch personnel on conforming loan requirements.
• Establish rapport with the local real estate community and update regular programs.
• Survey local market areas regularly.
• Establish priority accounts and visit offices weekly.
• Conduct seminars for realtors and new associates on lending products.
• Become active in local affiliations related to mortgage loan production.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Attend production meetings and maintain licenses if applicable.
• Work independently in outside sales setting with reliable transportation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
