Job summary

KCAS Bio in Kansas City is seeking an experienced professional to provide scientific direction and lead technical discussions in bioanalytical laboratories. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and direct sales experience in a CRO setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing or advising bioanalytical laboratories.
• Hands-on experience with PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, or NGS techniques.
• Excellent understanding of gene expression analysis, biodistribution, and nucleic acid quantification.

Responsibilities

• Provide scientific direction by staying abreast of emerging technologies.
• Maintain expert knowledge of bioanalytical scientific trends.
• Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams as a scientific lead.
• Support revenue generation by maintaining sales goals.
• Travel up to 25% on average based on demand.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field

5+ years of experience managing bioanalytical laboratories or direct sales experience in a CRO setting

Hands-on experience with molecular bioanalytical techniques

Strong understanding of molecular assay applications

Previous client-facing experience

Experience in a pharmaceutical company, CRO, or similar environment

Excellent knowledge of relevant regulatory policies

Competent knowledge of financial metrics in a CRO environment
