Job summary

Parcc Associates in Columbia, Maryland is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager for Metals & Fabrication to own sourcing strategy and supplier relationships across North America. The role focuses on metals, fabricated components, and outsourced manufacturing services, negotiating major supplier terms and driving cost savings while ensuring supply continuity.

The position is hybrid in Columbia, MD with travel to facilities and strategic suppliers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement or supply chain
• Strong manufacturing experience
• Experience sourcing steel, metals or fabricated components
• Proven ability to negotiate significant supplier agreements
• Strong commercial and analytical skills
• Experience developing commodity or category sourcing strategies
• Experience managing strategic suppliers
• Knowledge of commodity markets and cost drivers
• Experience delivering cost savings
• Experience managing supply-chain risk
• Ability to partner with Manufacturing and Engineering teams
• Strong communication and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

• Own strategic sourcing for metals and fabricated components
• Develop and execute category strategies across metals
• Evaluate suppliers and negotiate commercial terms
• Lead supplier relationships and negotiations
• Monitor commodity markets and cost drivers
• Develop cost-saving initiatives
• Strengthen supplier base and perform reviews
• Protect manufacturing operations and manage risk
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Planning
• Travel 20–25% within North America
