Job summary

Athleta is seeking a Merchandise Planner to join the Inventory Management team in San Francisco. You will translate the financial strategy of the product vision into actionable plans, forecasting and inventory strategies to drive results.

You will work with cross-functional partners to align brand strategy with customer needs, producing robust forecasts, managing preseason plans, and communicating financials weekly. Advanced Excel and systems skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in forecasting and financial planning within fashion retail.
• Strong analytical and storytelling skills for communicating results.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical data and trends to identify risks and opportunities by division and department.
• Create preseason sales, gross margin and inventory plans by division and department that support product strategies.
• Reconcile top down to bottom up division/department plans.
• Present financial forecast and action plans in open to buy meetings.
• Reforecast sales and manage inventory for all basic styles to meet department financial goals.
• Communicate financial results and forecasts to manager and cross functional team weekly.
• Develop and maintain relationships with cross functional teams to set priorities and deliverables.
