Altar’d State Corporate Office in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Merchandise Planning Intern to gain hands-on experience in retail planning and allocation. You will support forecasting, inventory management, and product allocation across stores and distribution centers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires pursuing a degree in Business, Merchandising, or related field with strong analytical and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

Upcoming junior, senior or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large datasets.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Excel, or data analysis tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Work with large datasets to analyze historical sales data, inventory levels, and customer trends.
Assist in managing inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment strategies.
Learn forecasting models and software to predict customer demand for products.
Assist with allocating products to specific stores or the distribution center based on demand and inventory levels.
Assist with pricing strategies and markdowns to optimize sales and inventory turnover.
