Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from LCME/AOA-accredited school.
• Current full and unrestricted medical license in the United States.
• Residency completed in an approved core specialty.
• U.S. citizenship; noncitizens may be appointed per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level management of a VA health care facility.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and programs for facility improvement.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory standards, and patient care quality.
