The Executive Director - Medical Center (EDMC) has full delegated line authority and responsibility for executive level management of a VA health care facility. Has overall responsibility for planning - organizing - directing - coordinating - controlling - reviewing - evaluating - and improving medical - administrative - and supporting operations of a medical facility which administers a variety of medical care and treatment for a large geographic area.

EXECUTIVE CORE QUALIFICATIONS (ECQs): In addition to the Technical Qualification Requirements listed above - all new entrants into the Senior Executive Service (SES) under a career appointment will be assessed for executive competency against the following five mandatory ECQs.
