Job summary

UFJPI is seeking an experienced medical billing professional to manage accounts receivable for professional services across multiple settings, ensuring timely claims submission and follow-up. The role requires strong CPT/ICD-10 knowledge and the ability to communicate with payors and clinics to resolve issues efficiently.

The candidate should have a CPC or equivalent and be proficient in using Excel and MES/ESM spreadsheets for tracking and escalation.

Qualifications

• 5 years health care experience in medical billing or related field.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Triage invoices and pursue reimbursement for professional services.
• Resubmit insurance claims per payor process and timelines.
• Investigate denials and corrections per policy and matrix.
• Communicate with payors, clinics, and patients to resolve issues.
• Maintain notes in the billing system and update escalation spreadsheets.
