Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. is seeking a Materials Planner for the Chattanooga, TN plant to develop daily and weekly production schedules.

You will use the MRP system to create and manage manufacturing orders, balance capacity, and coordinate with Procurement, Engineering and Quality to resolve issues.

This role collaborates across Manufacturing and Finance to improve material flow, inventory turns and on-time delivery while maintaining data integrity in MRP.

Qualifications

• The candidate will manage daily and weekly production schedules using MRP.
• Experience with MRP systems, planning and execution, and supply chain management is preferred.
• Collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the continuous flow of internally produced componentry from raw material to finished goods based on customer demand.
• Develop daily and weekly production schedules and load the factory work centers.
• Use the MRP system to create and manage Manufacturing Orders for internal and outside processing steps.
• Coordinate with Procurement to plan material lead times and address material shortages that impact schedules.
• Drive on-time delivery and continuous improvement across the value stream.
• Walk the manufacturing floor to observe product flow, inventory, and equipment status and issues.
