Job summary

PTC, a leading steel tubing manufacturer, seeks a Materials Planning Manager in Chicago Heights, IL. The role coordinates scheduling and procurement of raw materials to meet customer orders and aligns with production processes to minimize waste and drive improvements.

You will supervise shipping and receiving, manage production schedules, monitor inventory, and collaborate with the Plant Manager to maximize output and on-time delivery. Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
• Experience in scheduling, procurement, and materials planning.
• Familiarity with ERP and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and procure raw materials to meet customer orders.
• Supervise shipping and receiving personnel to maximize output.
• Coordinate with Production Planning and Inventory Control on material needs.
• Maintain promise charts and plant schedules to meet delivery dates.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and staff development.
