Job summary

Sika is seeking a Materials Planning Manager to own material availability, production scheduling, capacity planning and inventory accuracy for the site. You will manage, develop and coach the planning team, set departmental KPIs and be the site owner of SAP master data (BOMs, recipes, inventory) and resolve SAP issues impacting inventory and customers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in supply chain, SAP MM/PP experience, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business or related field; or a 2-year degree with 3–5 years of experience in production scheduling and planning.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM/CSCP or similar certification is a plus.
• 5+ years of supply chain / materials management experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive or IATF 16949 experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on SAP experience (MM/PP); strong Excel and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Own material availability, production scheduling, capacity planning and inventory accuracy for the site; lead the planning team and set KPIs.
• Serve as the site owner of SAP master data (BOMs, recipes, inventory) and be the first point of contact for SAP issues affecting inventory and customers.
• Publish the weekly production schedule and monitor production to ensure inventories support on-time shipments.
• Maintain capacity planning for all equipment and labor; review material, equipment and manpower constraints for bottlenecks.
• Oversee site purchasing activities and resolve invoice issues; manage returnable packaging inventory and FIFO on materials.
• Lead continuous improvement teams for inventory accuracy and CI across departments.
